Can Lymes Disease lie dormant?

So I am now in High school. Back in the 2nd grade I distinctly remember getting a really wierd rash. It was red in the center than regular then red around it- definitely like a bulls eye rash. We just had a presentation in class on it and I was wondering if I could have been infected all that time and it is going to show up later. Someone said they had a rash 14 years ago and then symptoms showed up. I'm a bit of a hypochondriac and a little worried! I don't want to get lyme's disease!
