I'm really scared of having an STD and I'm going to get tested but very worried.?

I had unprotected sex (not by choice) and I've been very, very worried lately. I don't have symptoms and I told my mom to make an appointment, but I'm scared and wonder how to go about waiting to get tested. I'm a hypochondriac, so I'm sure it doesn't help much. What should I do in the process of waiting? I've always been terrified of having HIV since before I ever had sex, so now that that this has happened two years ago, I've been up for nights scared to death. Any help would help.
