What to do with wild baby rabbits?Should we take them back to the mother?*READ DESC. FIRST*?

My cat found it and hurt it, it was also at nighttime and ne of my cats got 2 baby bunnies, hurt them both, one really bad wound on the head, and one wound on the stomach and back. We but some water on the wounds and put neosporin on it. And the we couldnt seem to find the mother and it was hard to see since it was dark. WE then took them inside and put them in a little cage under a heating pad. We just put a bowl of water in the cage too and but it in a safe room where the cats won't get it. We want to take it back to its mother but i read if you touch baby rabbits the mother won't take them back,(also tell me what would happen if we do try to give it back to the mother)but i don't know if thats true. If the mother won't take them back, where could we take them? We live in illinois if that helps. Also my parents don't know if the one with the wound on its head will make it since the rabbits was bleeding bad,(but they're both breathing at the moment)but I think it still could survive. Also if you say i did things wrong, then don't say it in a rude manner, just say what I did wrong because I don''t take rude answers good. So again, should i take them back to their mother in the morning or take them somewhere else?
